Gary Sanchez was born in the small mining town of Price, Utah in
1969. His family later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he and
his four brothers and sisters were taught in art from the time
that they could hold a brush in their hands, by their father Dr.
Donald Sanchez, who was earning his Masters of Education in Art.
Gary's early art influences was his father Donald for everything
that he did, and Van Gogh for his most dramatic landscapes, and
the dark moods of Rembrandt's figures, and all of Frank
Frazetta's fantasy work At 16 he attended McAteer school of the
Arts in San Francisco, where he specialized in Painting. It was
there that Gary's creative horizon's were broadened dramatically
, mostly by the likes of surrealist Salvador Dali, and the
abstract genius of Picasso, not to forget the musical influences
behind the artworks, with favorites including Pink Floyd, and the
Doors. Gary later became interested in sculptural design creating
works from Glass, stone, and wood, influenced mostly by
Michelangelo, and Henry Moore.
Gary then became fascinated with computer graphics
and 3D animation and extended his creativity through the roof.
Realizing this he earned his degree in Graphic Arts and is now
able to combine traditional artistic style with that of the new
age. There is no stopping him now, and where his talents will
take him. You can view his work at www.sanchezart.com
