Crystal Peak
Crystal Peak ~ 3"x4"x7" ~ Glass on Sodalite ~ 1997
I tried to make this piece as real to life as possible. The "crystal' is actually made from clear glass sculpted to look like a crystal. This crystal was then mounted on a nice specimen of Sodalite Stone that I purchased from a going out of business rock shop near Moab utah. I cut both of these pieces on my awesome circular wet rock saw, then grinding and polishing them on my lapidary wheel, giving the whole piece a nice shine. This piece is sold!
