Crystal Sail
Crystal Sail ~ 5"x6"x9" ~ Glass on Glass base ~ 1992
This piece has dicroic glass laminated to the bottom of the sail so when light hits it, it reflects red from the top and blue from the bottom, it's just beautiful! The glass piece and the glass base are both amythyst glass which is really soft glass therefor easy to work with. This piece is also sandblasted on some edges to give a textured look of sails moving in the wind on the water!
