Sailing On

    Sailing On ~ 3"x5"x8" ~ Glass ~ 1989

Thick polished, sandblasted sodapop (I call it sodapop glass because the late great sculptor Ken Rains, who trained me to do this type of stuff called it sodapop glass because the light blue glass that we would get, the big bulky glass would be formed by recycled soda pop bottles and melted down to bulk size, which could then be sculpted. Most sodapop glass had lots of bubbles in it, which sometimes caused for nice effects in some sculptures. its also I think what window glass is made from?
